Valuable experience with a supportive team, but heavy workload

Working as a Coord II Medicare/Medicaid Collections at VITAS has provided me with valuable experience in hospice billing and collections. I've had the opportunity to expand my knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, appeals, and claims resolution across multiple states. The team is supportive, and there are continuous opportunities to learn and develop new skills. I appreciate that the work is meaningful because it contributes to ensuring patients receive the hospice services they need.
Cons
The workload can be heavy at times, especially when managing multiple payer requirements and tight deadlines. Some processes could be streamlined, and communication between departments can occasionally be improved to help resolve issues more efficiently.
