Good People, Greedy Management
Pros
I have learned a great deal from working here and the time spent here has made me a better person. I have received valuable life lessons from patients, from staff, and the importance of compassion. I am ready to go, but I am grateful for the maturity this position gave me.
Cons
Unfortunately, the life lessons I learned came by trial by fire. I do not want to blast the company because I believe like any place there are good and bad workers. I can only speak for my experience, and it has been an extremely difficult time. I hope my future includes working in a more professional environment. To any potential person looking to work for Vitas: remember each program is different, but I highly recommend listening to your instincts when you interview. When you go into the office to interview, pay attention to how the staff interacts with other. When I interviewed I noticed a number of red flags, but I ignored them and I wish I hadn't. That being said, like I said before, each program is different so I can't speak for the entire company.
