Pros

You learn a lot of VITAS, the roles in the financial department are very well rounded and the training is top notch. Management is intelligent and accessible.

Cons

Benefits. This is a huge healthcare company and many employees cannot afford to see a doctor. Employees at the executive level often have unrealistic expectations and sometimes roles can be too undefined.

Executive Management needed serious work...

Pros

At the time of my departure from the company, serious steps were being taken to re-evaluate current executives and managers which was very much needed and overdue.

Cons

Unfortunately, the steps that would need to be taken had to be drastic as many of the current executives and managers should not have been in the positions they were in for various reasons. This would be a lengthy process to rebuild. Also, the company morale --- especially with lower-level employees...in general...was at an all-time critical low.
