Pros

PTO, Benefits, Friendly Environment. The work is not difficult. The software is easy to learn. Coworkers always there to help. Lost of training and patience. Most of the senior management is easy to talk to. GM makes it a priority to know everyone by name. Employee of the month in various departments receive a bonus check.

Cons

Lots of Gossip, Senior Management care more about the Team Managers than the rest of the employees. Some of the Managers give their workload to their assistants. Not a lot of incentives to keep coming to work other than, the paycheck.

Pros

The hospice industry will have tremendous growth in the near future. Executive Management at VITAS are all very well educated in hospice and business.

Cons

Some of the non-core competencies of VITAS are poorly managed. The IT function is slow to innovate, and correct issues. The HR policies for staff are not enforced consistently. The Benefits are mediocre.
