      Pros

      Layers of clinical support, admission nurse, pool nurses, case managers all have separate roles. Patients get avg of 5 visit a week, wonderful coworkers. We really do put Pt and families first.

      Cons

      Pay is not top of scale but not bottom either. Incontinent care supplies rated 5/10 and we are charting on paper instead of computers. Need to have computer documentation for field staff sooner than next year. Tired of waiting for documentation system to be updated.

      Pros

      Truly one of the best hospice providers in the nation. It is run like a well-oiled machine, but it needs the right clinical leadership. VITAS Values

      Cons

      Had high turnover in clinical leadership which resulted in numerous service comments that were never addressed promptly and with empathy.

      Pros

      Hospice is a very spiritually rewarding environment.

      Cons

      Overwhelming nurse/pt ratio. No nurse aides. Often had to also do secretarial jobs when sec not there. Low pay. Managers change every few months. High turnover rate of nursing staff.
