Don't be a DM

Pros

None. Working from home.

Cons

Everything. Terrible management, terrible corporate office. They continually make the DM's jobs harder. Low pay. Small raises, 3% or less. They lean on good DM's to help sub par DM's, making everyone's life more difficult. They aren't truthful in interviews.

Pros

This is a great part-time supplement to your current employment. It's structured in such a way to reward those put in the hustle. Most properties pay "day rate" and I've determined that I make $20hr plus (after fuel) for my three hours or so per week night and sometimes up to five on Sundays (the high volume day). )

Cons

Wear and tear on one's vehicle. It's a dirty business. It can be extremely exerting, but that might be more pro than con.
