Pros

Great pay depending on your role

Cons

Upper management demonstrates clear favoritism towards certain managers, creating an uneven and challenging work environment. Reporting concerns to HR can be risky, as employees may feel vulnerable to retaliation for voicing their concerns. This has led to a perception that HR may not effectively support employees at Valley Bank

Pros

Coworkers are really great and the pay isn't bad

Cons

leadership blows a lot of smoke up everyone's you know what. It feels authentic but then a few weeks later they cut jobs, spend money on internal things that don't generate revenue, and also there is a lot of obvious favoritism. They say they want to hear your opinions and thoughts, but if you don't agree with the right people, they don't want to hear it. HR is not helpful, they are actually pretty cold when you deal with them and seem to not actually care about people. I know a lot of people who spoke up about ways to fix things, wanting to do more, shared concerns, and the response is always the same - if you don't like here then leave. The culture was pretty good when I started but it has spiraled a lot.

Pros

Hybrid work schedule but was told that would change

Cons

I don't think senior management has any idea how many of the departments function and what actually goes on. Severe lack of training, organization, and professionalism when it comes to individuals in Management roles. Favoritism and unequal workload among team individuals. Lack of appreciation for staff and a "I need more, more, more from you" mentality instead of gratitude and an "it is what it is" mentality instead of addressing any major issues within the department. Low pay.
