Pros

ZERO!!! I AM SORRY BUT I DONT WANT TO TYPE FALSE PROS AND MAKE YOUR HOPES HIGH. that’s what I thought before applying but oh my god what a horrible experience it was with this pathetic bank and company

Cons

EVRTHING ABOUT THIS COMPANY/BANK IS PATHETIC. There is no proper Vision and the upper management thinks that they are doing a phenomenal job by going out on parties and stuff. Treat every single employee like trash and make you work 6 days a week resulting in zero work/life balance. I was so happy the day I was giving my resignation.

Retail side is a nightmare

Pros

- friendly people - good opportunities

Cons

- unethical behavior coming from the top to bottom to increase sales numbers - the blind is leading the blind here, where communication is non-existent therefore things can not get done in a timely manner. - retail workers are treated as numbers, where personal wellbeing is not a real thing. I was told once to come into work sick because the branch has “staffing issues”. - I have been in banking for 10+ years and at numerous is banks this is by far the most poorly run bank I have worked for - extremely high turnover across all branches, causing excessive overtime, increased workload, but still having the same sales quota - unprofessional and unethical management at branches, who run the branch as they please and upper management turns a blind eye - little to no training, you go to training for a few weeks and then you are on your own. If you have a question, most people in your branch are clueless. - the main selling point valley bank uses is its “culture”, which only applies to those that work on the corporate side. Retail workers are treated as the peasants of the bank.
