Pros

Strong mission, but outdated HR and talent acquisition practices hold the organization back Pros: There are genuinely kind people here and a strong mission driven culture. Many teams care deeply about their work and patients, and there is a sense of stability and community. The organization offers good exposure to healthcare operations and collaboration across departments. Advice to Leadership: Invest in modern talent acquisition strategy, data driven hiring practices, and progressive HR leadership. Empower HR to move beyond administrative tasks and truly partner with the business. Create a culture where feedback leads to action, not just acknowledgment. Doing so would significantly strengthen the organization’s ability to compete for talent and evolve with the industry.

Cons

Cons: The HR and Talent Acquisition function feels significantly behind modern industry standards. While other departments are evolving, HR processes and strategies remain highly traditional and administrative rather than strategic. There is a strong emphasis on optics, compliance, and appearances rather than innovation, efficiency, or true partnership with the business. Feedback is encouraged in theory, but in practice it often feels acknowledged without meaningful change. Talent acquisition operates more like a small, legacy organization than a data driven, modern function, which makes it difficult to attract and retain strong talent in a competitive market. Leadership within HR tends to prioritize control and consistency over agility, which slows progress and limits the impact HR could have as a strategic partner. The focus on how employees appear in meetings and adherence to rigid processes often outweighs forward-thinking people strategy and real organizational development.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we take it seriously. We remain committed to creating an inclusive environment and a meaningful career experience for all employees, and we will be sharing your comments internally. As part of HR, our work must maintain a strong emphasis on compliance, and within Talent Acquisition we pair that responsibility with a continued focus on data‑driven practices and ongoing innovation to support our hiring strategies. Given your tenure, we are concerned to hear about your dissatisfaction. As an internal employee, please feel free to reach out not only to your HR representative but also directly to Talent Acquisition leadership. We welcome the opportunity to address your concerns and to share more about how data and modern approaches are actively used within our TA team.
