Pros

Opportunities to work with a variety of clients - when there was work to do. Some great colleagues, all of whom now moved on to better companies.

Cons

Never a raise or bonus, totally incompetent management at all levels, complete lack of focus, no support for on-the-ground practitioners, no clue what agile means, no clue how to sell agile services, total lack of respect for the people doing the work.

Pros

Valtech outsourced-projects are typically good projects with good technologies. The company compensates people fairly and offers good benefits. Valtech has flexible work hours and tries to balance professional and work lives.

Cons

Valtech has recently been an unstable company, especially in this economy. There has been a lack of open communication from upper management to employees. Upper Management hired several VPs and lots of employees were hired recently, only to be laid off within a very short time period. The employees that were laid off were given no advanced notice, and without much to any pay. Valtech would be a better place with different upper management and a better economy.

Pros

Impressive growth. Decent pay. Opportunities for opportunists.

Cons

Valtech is entirely driven by Financial goals. More than any other company I have ever worked at. Under the new management in the US, people are NOT a concern. Client satisfaction is pushed as a means to the financial ends. Additionally, the organization is still surprisingly chaotic and immature. There seems to be a strategic direction but it is not formulated or communicated, leaving employees without direction. The little communication that is available is often unclear and not helpful and increasingly on need to know basis. Under the new management, Valtech has become a fairly toxic environment for regular team members and harsh for the leadership team.
