Pros

work-life balance is good, and pretty decent benefits

Cons

Senior leadership does not listen to crew feedback. Performance reviews don't make sense and highly depends on your relationship with your manager rather than actual merit. Leaders tend to play favorites.

Pros

Great benefits, kind colleagues generally speaking, opportunities to try new practice areas

Cons

Virtually impossible to get promoted within OGC (legal department) because there are so many senior attorneys with 15+ years of practice that haven’t been promoted to a senior executive level. There are a very small number of officers in OGC compared to the other areas of Vanguard, which can make the environment overly competitive and territorial.
