Pros

Really nice team atmosphere, work life balance is good and corporate benefits are excellent Location right in the heart of the City, nice offices.

Cons

They keep a lot of people on contract and simply extend rather than make permanent. Push hard if you want permanent There are lots of great programmes for development but not a lot of space to actually move.

Pros

Vanguard offers excellent benefits, including competitive healthcare plans, a generous 401(k) match, and additional perks that contribute to financial well-being and work-life balance. Additionally, the organization provides opportunities to explore different job functions, which can be beneficial for those seeking variety in their career experiences.

Cons

The company culture can be challenging for external hires, with minimal (and often zero) efforts to support integration into the existing organizational fabric. Career development support is virtually non-existent, leaving employees without clear pathways for advancement or opportunities to grow within the company and left to figure it out on their own. Talent management practices are suboptimal, with limited transparency and ineffective processes for recognizing and nurturing employees at all levels. There is a noticeable prevalence of bias and favoritism, especially against external hires, which undermines fairness and creates a demoralizing work environment for those not in favored circles which often leads to mischaracterization in performance reviews.

Pros

Pay was okay, benefits were good, sponsorship to get FINRA licensed

Cons

You’re pretty much on the phone 24/7, upper management only cares that you hit your metrics, the sales side of things is what did me in (clients are calling in for help, not to be stuck on the phone while reps try to sell them advisory services)
