Pros

Vanguard stands by its crew, they never layoff people when times are tough. As a company in an industry with increaded regulation and tightening margins they overall create a positive environment.

Cons

Vanguard has migrated from an atypical employer to a typical employer over the past 2-3 years. Upper management titled Principals (officers) are generally either 20+yr vets that were in the right place at the right time and the company grew up around them. Less tenured principals are of a more airified class. They feel empowered by their fiefdom.
