Pros

There is a good benefits package; 401k, Health benefits, and vacation days. When comparing to other employers it seems that my package always stacks up well. It's also a job where you can leave the work at work for the most part. There is not a high pressure environment to sell anything.

Cons

Low starting and base salary. It is a company that is very set in its ways and does not always listen to rational reasoning when presented with good ideas.

Pros

The benefits package is one of the best that's available. Even with the cuts in the recent years, it still is better than monst companies. The profit sharing plan is very good - if you have the right amount of time in. Most managers are very fair in the way they treat their employees and genuinely want their workers to succeed.

Cons

There is a lot of politcs - more so than any company that I have worked at before. As with any company, when the economy begins to go down hill so does the feedback. Some managers will look for anything negative no matter how small just so that there is something to put in your year end.

Pros

Work-life balance is one of the strongest points of this company. Everyone has a ridiculous amount of vacation days from the very beginning. The salary is reasonable but not outstanding; the profit-sharing and bonus are nice. The benefits are very good, and the retirement plan is structured to make it easy to start building up money for retirement without even having to try that hard.

Cons

Overly formal, not at all a meritocracy. Everything moves at a snail's pace and becomes wrapped in layers of red tape. If you are looking for a fast-paced job where you can rise quickly through the ranks if you work hard - this is definitely NOT it. Promotions are based on "who knows you", so be prepared to schmooze if you want to get ahead. Overt criticism or questioning of accepted wisdom, even when necessary and constructive, is often not welcomed.
