Pros

Great opportunities for advancement. Management is very willing to help you explore different career paths. The company and crew are very honest and ethical. The retirement package is very good. Compensation is definitely structured to reward those who are in it for the "long term" which aligns well with its investment philosophy.

Cons

The cash compensation is low and not very competitive.

Pros

Ethical place to work where you can do what's right for the client. You don't have to push a product or service, you just find out what the client needs and provide it.

Cons

As a white male, it's hard to get ahead. I recognize the value of diversity, and so does senior management. The minorities get the benefit of the doubt - if they can do the job, they get the promotion. I have to prove that I am a far better candidate to get the promotion. The bar is different.
