Frustrstion to the MAX

Pros

Newer trucks, decent pay, friendly people

Cons

They're trying to let a computer do all the planning. IT SUCKS. You're not even a number. You put in an eta/pts, and it's ignored. The computer figures out when you should be somewhere and it ignores your input completely. Loads are assigned, and then removed all the time. VERY hard to try and plan anything. You don't have any kind of mgr. If you have to call in, you'll never talk to the same person. If you like uncertainty, you'll love this place. If you're an organized, plan ahead type, you'll hate it.

Pros

competitive salary, unlimited PTO, some good coworkers

Cons

run as a startup without job descriptions or roles/responsibilities, no accountability for team members not meeting deadlines, constant rework due to requirements not being complete, constant management revolving door. 401k waiting period and match are horrible (6 month waiting period to contribute, 2% match vesting over 6 years). Medical benefits are bad (short term and long term disability basically don't exist).

Pros

Decent pay if moving at all.

Cons

Too much poorly paid downtime. Nowhere near enough trailers. Trucks way to automated, they killed the thing. No power what so ever, dies going up any incline. Can spend days or have to drive up to 1300 miles with 9 stops to find an empty trailer. They are bringing in 50 to 100 new employees every week, and lose at least a third of them within 30 days. Corporate doesn't seem to care, but it says enough about conditions. You can sit for 23 hours with a breakdown, and not get the whole $100 a day pay because it has to be 24 hours. Could be a great place if anyone cared enough to fix it. Move on, better places out there. Also, ambassador program is for drivers to bring in new drivers, and compensation is good, however, if you have any, and I mean any, integrity you wouldn't recommend anyone to work here.
