Pros

Snacks in the office for the lack of compensation I guess.

Cons

For every negative review, they’ll push for people to write fake good reviews or just have the negative ones removed completely. So let’s see if this lasts :) But really, there are little to no growth opportunities here. If they sell you on that idea, what they mean is they want you to do more work (probably to make up for being short staffed). They do this for as long as possible before hiring someone else. Do not expect anything from this, because you will not get the recognition or the compensation to match your work load. Good luck discussing a raise, since 1) they don’t discuss it because 2) they predetermine it to be at less than inflation when you do receive it. Or tie you down to some stocks that don’t vest for years. Pick your poison! Management is passive aggressive/ offensive/ narcissistic/ and definitely micro-managing. Honestly, some people should not be managers here, first based off the questionable (-ist) things they’ve said. But also their overall lack of management experience. This seems pretty consistent on several teams, which is why most people you actually get to know, are not happy. Those that are “happy”, must be getting paid well. If you voice any concerns to management or HR, expect them to interrogate you but not address any issues. If you really need the experience, I guess take the job and find out for yourself. But honestly, there are better options out there where you won’t have to constantly justify your time/effort/existence to a company that does not value you.

Pros

good money, decent product, nice swag

Cons

Toxic culture unlike anything I have ever seen. Employees treated as an entirely expendable asset, rather than part of a team. No thought given to development, mentorship, or growth. Goal is to use you up for what you can do for them right now, then hire someone else. Plenty of managers, not a single leader to be seen. Each level of management simply parrots what comes from above and serves only to enforce the rigid structure in place. The few managers they have ever hired from outside the company quickly call bs on the system here, and are just a quickly maligned and forced out. Success as a rep entirely dependent on what accounts you are afforded, and if there is any existing opportunity. Very little patience among upper sales management to give you time to build up a funnel and start to close opportunities. If you are fortunate enough to inherit some opportunity when you start, you have a chance, otherwise..watch out. Time off restricted to set timeframes within the year. There are plenty of other sales roles out there that will value you as an individual and treat you with the dignity you deserve.

Pros

If you work in the NY office you get free food.

Cons

Unbelievable micromanagement. I was literally told to log my daily activity in 15 minute increments and sent to management daily what I did today and what I will do tomorrow. This despite me having 20 years experience in enterprise sales engineer! If you are from Israel you can do anything and get anything. Everyone is treated awfully. Company is so cheap that they insist on employees sharing rooms during training, "because hotel rooms in NY are expensive". If you are that cash strapped, maybe you should move your headquarters to somewhere cheaper? When I was with the company the product broke Microsoft's support agreement for SQL but Varonis hid that from customers. Highly unethical.
