Pros

Learn a lot about how a dysfunctional aerospace manufacturing company operates.

Cons

Management makes the environment toxic. The Production manager and Manufacturing manager use intimidation and fear while threatening everyone's jobs on a daily basis to inspire people to work. The production manager calls vendors without first speaking to the buyer and creates problems, causing vendors unwilling to support the buyers requests. There is no training process, first day in and thrown to the wolves with no support. This place is very dysfunctional and very poorly operated. They show no appreciation to its employee's. Pay is minimal, Bonuses are nearly nothing, under 500$ and they expect 12 hours a day with a salaried position, making under 45k per year. I do not recommend this place to anyone joining, there is a reason there is over a 50% turnover rate in the purchasing department and the company as a whole. note* per the ratings review "culture and values", I would rate 0 out of 5 if the option was available.

Pros

Corporate office is in a cool location in Ballard with free parking, and there are breweries and nice restaurants nearby

Cons

Very stuffy upper management who demand, demand, demand. No appreciation for employees. We were specifically told by management multiple times that they don't value our function, even after we were the only ones left due to a sudden loss of employees and they had no one else to turn to.

Pros

Injection Molding is a growing industry in the US, if you can take the heat (pun) you might get an opportunity to advance and become an expert in injection molding products - this expertise is so desperately needed at this company. You will work with China daily and after hours work.

Cons

Engineering and Manufacturing Managers/Leads are extremely disrespectful of lower level employees and bitter from their own job frustrations that their manufacturing work processes are dysfunctional; Molding, CNC, Assembly functional groups do not work well together, they operate as separate units, each has an excessively high loss rate (30%) per molding project. This companies onboarding doesn't exist - no training provided at all - once hired you are expected to sink or swim and then judged by management. The work environment is oppressive and dictatorial - if you're a creative person don't apply. The plant is in disarray, unclean, unorganized and unmonitored by Management. The legacy molding project work flows, cause friction and mix in with the new projects NPI work flows. Employees are overworked, confused about work processes, lots of errors, lots of unnecessary delays. Employee stress and frustration is high and moral is low. The Manger's play the blame game when things go wrong and take credit for things they didn't do when it goes right. Traffic getting to and from work is "atrocious" and the cost for fuel too.
