Each year during your performance assessment, team members are given an opportunity to discuss their career aspirations with their supervisor(s). While some want to stay in their current roles, there are opportunities around the organization for everybody but sometimes there may not be a clear path on how to get there. The career aspiration discussion should help define this path, if possible. If you feel that you did not have this conversation or need to revisit it, schedule time with your supervisor(s) to review it again so you can stay on track and learn about other opportunities in the organization whether they be lateral or promotional.
