I have worked for Vector Solutions for over 10 years and have seen so many positive changes. Aquisitions over the evolution of the company have brought on very talented people and also opened up opportunities for growth within the company. The expansion has greatly increased the company's technical abilities and ability to serve their clients. Additonally: -Even during times of growth, Vector reaches maintains personal connections and makes individual employees feel valued -The company provides relevant communications and updates, which is especially important while so many of us are working remotely -The culture welcomes diversity and supports innovation, and promotes work/life balance

Cons

There is no such thing as a "pefect company" and Vector acknowledges the challenges that come with growth. It can take time to align people, systems and processes so that they function cohesively. The goal is to take a step foward every day and make incremetal progress.

Could be worse, Could be a Lot Better

- Lot of friendly, hard working people - HR is very responsive - They mean well - Flexible COVID response in terms of physical work

Cons

- Ambitious goals are often set, without any additional resources to meet them. - Upper Management is highly disconnected and demanding without feeling involved, like a parent upset at their children's grades but doesn't help with homework or go to teacher conferences. - Lots of disorganization. This company expands by acquisition, yet is terrible at integrating new teams. You'd think they'd know what to do after nearly a dozen of these. - If you're not sales you're not important. And if you are sales, the pressure is on. - The company understandably took measures to limit costs during the uncertainty of the pandemic, including freezing wage increases. Despite "smashing our sales goals" as management put it, wage increase were not reinstated in 2020 but instead they sent a couple gift baskets, and acquired another company in September. Doesn't send the best message.

Vector has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, and continues to take steps to see where we can simplify, streamline, and improve our operations as evidenced in our annual “Big Rocks.” Each acquisition brings about unique opportunities, and as there is no one-size-fits-all formula, we strive to focus our processes to be as efficient as possible. While Vector did take some steps to protect our team members’ job operations, we are confident that those actions allowed the company to remain stable and successful throughout the year while also setting us up for a strong start to 2021. The Executive Leadership Team addressed these decisions continuously and with transparency throughout 2020, so we encourage you to watch prior All Hands Meetings to review discussion. We are very optimistic that the precautions we took will allow us to move forward with planned merit increases and career opportunities this year.
