There are many ... if you used to work at Syniverse.

Cons

They are making decisions that only benefit the equity company, not the employees. And if you don't work out of the Tampa office you are completely ignored.

Half day Fridays, snacks in the kitchen, overall very calm environment. Good place for people with families who aren’t interested in climbing the corporate ladder. You are never expected to work outside of your 40 hours.

Cons

The “culture” is definitely off. They use Skype messenger to communicate around the office rather than just walking 5 feet to talk to someone in the next cubicle. In fact, it would be frowned upon to do so. Things can get petty that way, very quickly. There's lots of gossip flying around at all times via Skype, and it's really hard to stay out of it in such a small company. Management is very indirect in communication as well, with a tendency to brush things under the rug rather than having real conversations. Company fun events and happy hours are sparsely attended and if they are ever required, are extremely painful.

Thank you for your feedback. The HR team is based out of the Tampa office, but we are always available with an open door to discuss concerns of our employees. Employee engagement, morale, culture and people feeling good about working for and the work they do at Vector Solutions is important to us. We have had several promotions over the last few months in both our San Diego and Tampa offices! Many of our employees have been recognized and grown to new positions. We have right sized employees where appropriate and are continuing to do so where necessary.

Quarterly meetings, bonus, recognition for employees. Excellent benefits, time off and health insurance. Opportunities to work with the IT department to improve product. Excellent IT team and response to issues. Management knew everyone by name. Many times nominated for the best company to work for in the Tampa Bay area!

Cons

Working in another city sometimes made it hard initially to feel part of the company when the former company I worked for was purchased.
