Good team, but workload and pay make it hard to stay

Pros

My direct manager and immediate team are great. People are supportive, collaborative, and genuinely trying to do the best they can with what they have. The culture at the team level is positive and most people are competent and easy to work with.

Cons

The workload across teams feels unsustainable. Many groups appear to be understaffed while expectations continue to increase, which results in employees taking on the responsibilities of multiple roles. It often feels like teams are stretched thin and constantly trying to keep up. Compensation is also not very competitive compared to the broader tech market, especially considering the workload and expectations placed on employees. There also appears to be a disconnect between executive leadership and the day-to-day realities employees face. Some decisions and initiatives seem to overlook how much work teams are already carrying.
