Pros

Good sales process, don’t have to pressure clients into signing contracts at first appointments.

Cons

Managers scam salespeople to spend their own money on gas driving all over the place. Not transparent about how to receive gas reimbursement so that they can deny repaying gas money even though they claim gas is reimbursed. Requires employees to work a minimum of 6 days a week but then refuses to pay new employees “company holidays” even though employees are expected to work weekends which would make up for unpaid “company holidays”. Must take appointments from 9AM until 9-10PM. Management is clueless about company policies. Management doesn’t know what kinds of systems that they actually install. Was told during training they do not install on metal roofs but then found out my install team that the do in fact install on metal roofs. CEO could care less how employees are treated even when they are selling and making the company money.

Pros

- Company sales process is solid. Not scummy like other solar companies

Cons

- People that work at Venture Solar aren't the most polished bunch. If you've been in the professional world long enough, you'll see quickly how many lack basic competency and professional work etiquette. - Like most medicore companies, turnover is very high. Sales reps come and go. That's because this job is an absolute grind, and the pay just isn't worth the time and effort you'll be putting in. - There's zero work life balance. You''ll get a meeting at 9am and then you may then get a meeting at 7pm. You'll be going through burnout before you know it. -

Pros

Salesforce is really nice, leads being the next day most of the time is nice. Most other solar companies have all of this too but are actually decent to their workers/clients

Cons

-They will push all of your installs back and then fire you to withhold your commissions. -The most toxic culture of all time stemming from management. The average tenure of an employee is probably less than 30 days at this company because no one can take accountability and there is absolutely 0 training. -They do not help your clients pre/post install it sucks if you are a person who only sells a product you would buy. Not ethical. -Please be aware of all of the duplicate reviews from the same day here, management is trying to hide how awful this place is. This place tries to get you to have a bunch of sales and referrals then will intentionally push back install to withhold commission. The amount of good people I have seen come in and then leave a couple weeks later should have been a sign to me to not work here as long as I did. This was the worst mistake of my career I don't want you to make the same. -Go apply to other solar companies if this is the job you want, this company is the worst I have ever seen or heard about. In my initial interview I asked if I sold a deal would I have to do any project management work after and they said no never. Funny because I had to do everyone's job after the fact with no training and every time some one called the company they wouldn't pick up so they would call me and management wouldn't respond to me unless if I looped in the CEO
