Pros

Employees are encouraged to establish relationships with customers and maintain a "girl's best friend" attitude. Great discount. Access to upcoming product knowledge and surprises. Coworkers become like family and treat each other with respect.

Cons

Employees work nearly 40 hours week in the summer, but are still considered full time. Hours drop significantly in the winter making the wage unlivable. There's little if no room for growth in the company. With upwards of five managers there are too many directions and too much confusion among expectations and policies. Managers also leave much of the sales work to associates and hide in the back room. Calling off was a nightmare.

Pros

Empowers employees to use the "power of yes" to make a situation right for a guest. Generous employee discount. A pretty place to work. No uniforms, but the freedom to express yourself through appropriate business causal attire. Stores are cleaner and more well organized than your own home. Great customer service learning experience.

Cons

No room for growth. There is no such thing as "full time sales associate" at this company. You will work 25-30 hour weeks with no benefits as a part time associate. They like to give you free or discounted product to make up for what they lack in pay compensation. Marketing department needs improvement with strategy. Many guests get confused by the emails they receive about sales online and what's happening in stores. The online return process in the stores needs to be addressed. Employees don't last very long, it's a fun place to work but it's definitely not a forever job.
