Pros

The families are wonderful to work with. The children are amazing, I feel as though I learned something every session as well asassisting the clients learn as well. This company also absolutely encouraged furthering your education. For me, this meant a great deal.

Cons

Very little open communication with immediate supervisor. I would ask repeatedly if I needed to imporve or if something needed to be tweaked and the answer was always, everything is fine. In the end it wasn't and I felt very badly about that as I took this job very seriously. It is a large company, however there must be a way to break HR into groups so that you feel as though you have someone to go to for advice or HR needs or questions.

Pros

- the kids were great and fun to work with, there were some that were tough to deal with but overall I had a great time working with them -7 paid holidays during the year

Cons

- the management only cares about numbers!! I was there for a couple of months and supervisors/ managers pressured me to get specific scores on my competency tests. They tested me three times a week for weeks on end after I just started and if I didn't get the high score they wanted, they would write me up. So management knows you just started but expects you to get these numbers that they want while also working with the kids for hours on end, with no breaks. Some days I didn't have lunch until 1 pm! I felt constantly micromanaged, judged, and terrible at my job when I was working hard every single day for the kids

Pros

- The clinical supervisors and program coordinators are helpful and knowledgeable. - The clients are adorable. - Working at the same time every day is nice.

Cons

- Admin doesn't seem to care about employees; focus is on growth and money. They stretch us as thin as possible, ignoring what is best for client progress/employee happiness. - If you are accruing fieldwork hours, good luck getting more than one indirect hour per day. - High rate of turnover and burnout.
