Good ideas, but execution needs work. Finger is too often on the wrong pulse.
Pros
The divestiture process actually looks like it will be a net benefit to those remaining and those going and I think there are a lot of interesting opportunities within VeriSign and the divested groups that will be available due to the sell off of major portions of the company.
Cons
The management culture is very much one of a drinking buddy culture with credit and promotions going to friends over competence and actual work accomplished. I know of enough situations that have occurred that are technical violations of fair employment practice and while I personally have no interest in pursuing such issues, I have even less interest in working for a company that not only allows them to occur, but has HR representatives who throw up their hands and ask "what can I do?" when presented with clear violations of employment law and unfair preferential treatment.
