Pros

The job was exceedingly easy. Most weeks I worked Tuesday-Thursday about 3 hours a day. No one works there on Friday. Their healthcare and pharmacy benefits were decent even though deductibles are high. There are some great people who work (or worked) there and cared about the clients and the work they did.

Cons

The ONLY thing that matters to Verisys and the NYC PE overlords is selling the company and making rich people richer. There is absolutely nothing done by the company to tie you in or make you feel like you’re part of the team. No holiday party, no acknowledgment of wins, nothing. I’ve never worked somewhere with so little company spirit. At Verisys you are a liability on a spreadsheet for a private equity firm in NYC. No more. No less. Layoffs happen on a quarterly basis lately. NYC sets a target, Verisys misses it, and the axe swings. If you get a Google Meets message from your bosses boss on a Monday morning asking to join them, you’re done. Start looking now. I don’t care what your job role is. Look now. The company doesn’t have a CEO. It only has some half baked executive council that stumbles through the dark trying to please NYC. This should tell you everything you need to know.

Pros

Work from Home Flexible Schedule (depends on department)

Cons

Raises were very small little to no pay increase when getting a higher position work/life balance was very hard to maintain We were told everything was just fine 2-3 weeks before the most recent lay off. They laid off mostly tenured employees with no notice. All around things were much better when it was still Aperture. The merger with Verisys seemed to start their downfall.
