      Pros

      I was at Unisource/Veritiv for 9 years. Over that time, the people that worked for me and the managers I worked with were great, other than a few minor exceptions at the beginning.

      Cons

      After the merger, the way Veritiv kept chiseling away at benefits and perks was shameful. Sick days and floating holidays were reduced because the company claimed they surveyed other similar size companies and this was the trend. I would have liked to have seen that survey! Veritiv chipped away at personnel, took away perks trying to save money because they put people in place in upper management that were ill-equipped to handle the jobs. A very short-sighted company that will die a little more with each subsequent quarterly loss.

      Pros

      Good parking for employees,and few good people

      Cons

      Unisource was a great company with appreciation for employees,christmas parties and small bonuses,our old boss would come in and get food for all of us almost every month,he also knew all of our names. No more christmas party or dinner,not even a Christmas tree,we cannot use Keurig anymore because it uses too much electricity.

      Pros

      They have a great 401K matching ($1 for $1 on first 3%, then $.50 on the $1 on next 2%; 4% max total). Also vested on Day One

      Cons

      Poor industry growth, Very limited career growth opportunities, salary is below market average. Culture is very dull; They “try” to liven things up with events, however, they are very limited with they can do as the company pinches pennies like no other.
