I’ve been working as a temp since April 2018 and was ready to get hired on full time as soon I got the email to take drug test I didn’t see the date for when it expired .Today I been fired because of miscommunication . I like my boss Johnny but I guess upper management don’t care about another dirty warehouse worker.

Terrible Management C - Suite is too old school and focused on the "good ole boy system". - Terrible employee experience - Cannot pay employees on time and refuses to cut off cycle checks even though it is their fault. Stay away from the company !!

We are disappointed that you did not have a good experience. Veritiv, as you know, is a result of a merger of two legacy companies with very different cultures. The integration has been challenging to not only merge operating and warehouse management systems but to create a new, dynamic culture that looks toward future growth. Those changes have employees in mind; for example, the new CIP program (Continuous Improvement Program) looks toward employees for innovations and has not only generated about 3,000 new ideas but led to more than 1,200 being implemented.

I was at Unisource/Veritiv for 9 years. Over that time, the people that worked for me and the managers I worked with were great, other than a few minor exceptions at the beginning.

Cons

After the merger, the way Veritiv kept chiseling away at benefits and perks was shameful. Sick days and floating holidays were reduced because the company claimed they surveyed other similar size companies and this was the trend. I would have liked to have seen that survey! Veritiv chipped away at personnel, took away perks trying to save money because they put people in place in upper management that were ill-equipped to handle the jobs. A very short-sighted company that will die a little more with each subsequent quarterly loss.
