Pros

This company has one of the largest reaches in the Telecom industry... they have great benefits and cover many different technologies.

Cons

They are far too willing to sacrifice service for cost savings.... to the detriment of their customers and their employees.

Pros

Good pay (if you can keep your job).

Cons

I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to Verizon. This company has become VERY cut-throat and doesn't give a **** about its employees. Much of the engineering work (tier1 an tier2) has been re-assigned to "Verizon employees" in Manila, The Phillipines. If our work isn't getting shipped there, it''s being sub-contracted out to Accenture. There is no future at Verizon if you're an engineer of any kind.
