Pros

Vacation accrual, 401k matching, sort of competitive compensation (you start at a lower hourly rate than AT&T) & plan discount although there are no device discounts.

Cons

Typical retail management pipeline that are trained like robots to role play solutions that are unrealistic to certain markets. Don't expect to get promoted if you're A.) not friends with the gm, dm, or floating manager or B.) Express your opinion on sales metrics as a sales person. If you're an individual who can convince yourself mobile enabled tablets are useful for "everyone" as well as devices like the HUM; and you can go into work everyday offering the same presentation on a worksheet or laminated sheet and not feel the monotony of complacency than Verizon is a great way to earn a minimum of $45k. If you apply yourself you should easily make $60k-70k in a decent market. Lastly, they have possibly the worst HR managers (at least the one I encountered.)

Pros

The money was great! For selling cell phones at least.

Cons

Hours were terrible. Management wanted #'s and quotas to be met, and didn't really care how ya got there. There were shady sales tactics, overbearing bosses, and crazy quotas that made doing an ethical job very hard.
