Pros

Lots of great people, potential for growth, challenging work

Cons

Heavy bureaucracy makes it difficult to get work done. The company has changed over time and shifted focus from employees to unattainable growth goals. Sizable layoffs are occurring every couple of years.

Pros

Benefits: Healthcare and Time off

Cons

Verizon is way behind other companies in regards to flexibility and remote working. Upper leadership does not seem to care about employee morale and the culture really suffers.

Pros

Pay and benefits are competative. Employee assistance program provides a few free sessions with a counselor (which a rep needs due to the emotional toll of the job).

Cons

Extremely stressful and demanding job. The survey system is like playing Russian Roulette. It's not always possible to prevent bad surveys. Reps are measured by several metrics and meeting the requirements is a daunting task. Once a rep gets corrective action for attendance or not meeting metric requirements, its designed to punish and / or make the rep fail and loose their job.
