Pros

Work-life balance is a real plus in Verizon call center roles. Lots of overtime available for call center representatives; if you want to make more money, the OT is there for those who work hard. In the call center and sales channels, Verizon is very much a meritocracy. Work hard, get noticed. Also, supervisors are held to a strong standard of accountability. This fosters a "servant leadership" sort of mentality in VZW management. That's good for employees who work hard.

Cons

It's really tough to break out of the call center and retail sales roles, even with earning an education on Verizon's tuition benefit. Otherwise, this is a great company to work hard, be recognized and provides a decent income to support your family.
