Hard Work and Lots of Fun

Pros

This is truly a one of a kind company. The first thing you will notice when you walk in the door is that everyone works together. No one (not even the CEO) has their office. Everyone's workstation is out in the open. This collaboration also carries into everyone's interactions with one another. Everyone works together as one team at HTA. Many of the office drama you will find at other places of employment is virtually non-existent at HTA, You will often find people working and joking around together (often in the same sentence) when you walk around the office. There is always room for growth, both professionally and personally. Hardworking and high performing employees are given opportunities to shine without bias. The collaborative culture of HTA also gives employees the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and help their co-workers with assignments that often become great learning experiences. The benefits are tremendous. You will rarely go a full week without experiencing an awesome job perk. From small perks like free meals to large benefits like an always memorable holiday party and tuition assistance program, HTA often gives back to its employees. While we work hard at HTA, we play even harder.

Cons

While we have lots of fun of HTA, you are expected to work and work hard. Long nights are not uncommon when big projects are near deadlines or issues arise. The hard work is almost always worthwhile, however.

Pros

There is absolutely no pros to working here.

Cons

Revolving door. Management and HR turn a blind eye to problems. Very hostile work environment. Call center type of employees not professionals. Them come in drunk or get high and they don’t get reprimanded. They fire problematic employees then bring them back causing more problems amongst coworkers. They applaud lazy, dramatic and over reactive employees and promote them to leads. You only succeed here if you are a man! Management are all men and they can care less of any issues. They even speak foul of employees in front of staff. Tell employees other staffs problems nothing is kept confidential. If leads don’t like you, you will get demoted or terminated no matter how hard and good you work! No work life balance. If leads and management don’t like you, you get a late shift 10 to 6:30 or 11 to 7:30 and will make any excuse not to change it. Upper management lies to employees, makes false promises to employees as well as gossips of other employees in front of others. There is absolutely no job security. I can keep going with the cons!

Pros

Salary looks good on paper Health benefits are good There are a select few who are great to work with.

Cons

Salary looks good on paper because when you calculate it down to an hourly wage based on the excessive number of hours you will work, it's really not worth much. There is no work life balance here; the more you give the more they will take and continue to expect more and more until you have no life, just work. If you aren't part of their good ol' network or if you go against the grain at all, be prepared to get scolded for not having a cult like mentality in your thinking and behavior. They change direction constantly, creating a lot of rework and wasted time in constantly refocusing efforts instead of getting work done. A decision is made this morning and everyone shifts direction and tomorrow it changes again. If you enjoy being in a constant state of flux and unknown then this is definitely the right place for you. The environment is chaotic at best. Upper management has no clue what it takes to maintain a good employee moral or work environment. Every year the employees give poor ratings on the employee survey and every year they claim changes are forth coming yet nothing ever comes but empty promises.
