Pros

The people at work are very amicable and helpful. Product is interesting. Excellent Work/Life balance - People are comfortable if you need to work from home occasionally.

Cons

Pays below industry average. Company structure is not clear and there is little room to grow. Performance reviews are extremely late - Sometimes as late as 1/2 a year. Upper management is opaque when it comes to talking about company projects and company health. They tend to be vague and cover up when company projects go south.

Pros

- Extremely friendly and helpful colleagues. - Stock options (although this may be a con because the company doesn't look like it will ever sell) - Product has potential.

Cons

- Not a meritocracy. Sometimes projects you are working on get killed and then you get no credit. - Some managers care more about what time you come in instead of how much you work. - Engineers are being asked to sacrifice a lot of private time (weekends) to help out the atrocious night ops team. - Compensation is no longer competitive. Stock options are offered but no reward on those in sight. - Every year the promise to seriously look into 401k matching. Never happened.
