Pros

I suppose dogs at work? The free coffee didn't make up for the cons of working here

Cons

Fake, clueless and completely out of touch upper management. Laughable pay raises, hired a new employee then dissolved the entire department A WEEK LATER only to reinstate the department years later? Nepotism, Gossip. They seriously do not care. Felt the need to keep my head down and mouth shut the entire time I worked there. So happy to be out - most all of my previous co workers feel the same way.

All feel-good talk, very little actual improvement or change

Pros

-most people are friendly and easy to work with, and care about their work -generally flexible with work/life balance, though that is more true for some departments than others -some managers are great

Cons

-Major lack of transparency and communication, leading to lots of unnecessary frustration, confusion, and errors. -DEI is a joke, really - the focus is on "awareness" emails and nothing on concrete change. Diversity is hugely skewed toward the lowest-paying jobs. They are terrible about providing disability accommodations or even thinking how the choices they make affect people with disabilities. Any talk of pay transparency is shut down, which is a cornerstone for real DEI change. -They are rapidly hiring new people with little care for industry experience and not giving them adequate training. or setting clear expectations - only to have new people, especially new directors and VPs who do not ask questions and seem to have little respect for our knowledge and experience. When issues are brought up, they turn it back on the people bringing up the issues instead of any accountability for management's actions/lack of action. -The company was already siloed before the MARS acquisition and it's getting worse every day -Pay raises are minimal, if any -Health insurance premiums are not covered, which means getting a $200 pay reduction each month, on a practical basis. All in all, just a really frustrating and disappointing experience. C-Suite doesn't care and won't take action but they sure do put up a good talk.
