Pros

Friendly work environment. All employees are aware of the stressful nature in the office and sarcastically joke of how things need to change, lightening the mood for a bit. Casual dress code is nice as well. 4% 401K Match.

Cons

People are in positions that have no ability to be in the position they are in. Many times during project meetings the people leading the meetings do not have any idea how the project should function. Project Managers rarely stick to the documentation specs. Changes to the project/software are constantly changed on the fly because someone higher up wants it to look or feel that way, leading to limited development, testing and updated documentation. Many projects have the "Just release it” mentality. Meaning the latest project will be released just to hit the release date deadline and deal with the defects after production. End-to-end testing is rare due to tight deadlines and constant changes to functionality. Projects are rushed when they need to be thought out more. Things may look good on paper but that doesn't mean that type of functionality is possible. Barely any internal advancement and minimal bonus (if any), cost of living expenses are non-existent. GTL has employees who work very hard at their job and do not receive any kind of incentives or grateful gestures for working hard. If you work hard and do a good job, you get more work thrown at you.

Pros

The best reasons to work here would be the chance to learn new things to flatter your resume

Cons

The cons of working here consists of the following: No training- learn everything on your own Systems are out of date with no priority in upgrades Management abuses authority and use profanity as "motivation" High level management only acknowledges their peers and not the ones doing the work, hence no bonuses, EVER not even for tenured employees our name has "technologies " in it and we are using outdated systems, with little to urgency in upgrading. Training or lack there of is brutal you have 2 weeks to learn several outdated and complicated systems HR is not for the employees but for High level management get on the wrong side and that's it for you They fire mass amounts of employees out of the blue leaving everyone else to wonder when there time is up and its a constant worry daily, no matter how long you've been here or how well you're doing This is not a merit job this is a who you know job
