Pros

The only pro is the flexibility the schedule offers. Many employees take time to exercise via this unspoken flex time.

Cons

The position is horribly underpaid. With the expectation that the ID is expected to know every aspect of a massive software application that is customizable for individual clients while functioning as a user experience designer with ESL coworkers is daunting. Also having implemented SCRUM, upper management needs to accept that the day to day duties do not translate into this framework.

Flexibility with remote work. Money can be good.

Cons

TOO MUCH CHANGE. Company needs process and procedures desperately. Leadership is lacking only because the amount of work is too much to handle for the staff on payroll now.

Overall the mission of providing education to inmates seems valuable

Cons

-lack of clear communication across departments -lots of red tape that blocks or inhibits progression of work -lead engineer didn't ever teach me anything; he would just take over any fires that emerged -got in trouble for wanting to make tea at the start of the workday (9am) and was told if I wanted to make tea/coffee/go to the bathroom to come in before 9am
