Pros

Flexible Schedule at times. Working with DD individuals is always great! Loved caring for people.

Cons

Horrible overtime, mismanagement of direct care staff. Too much for Program Managers to do. Scheduling direct care staff, payroll, and covering shifts for people while trying to be state compliant, and being responible for care plans and follow through. Too much to do. Poor communication between management and directors. Training is all over the state on OH and no compensation. No real support from inside. The owner is an arrogant man who is more concerned about the way he dresses vs the way his clients are treated.

We do have issues with overtime due to the shortage of direct support professionals that is affecting providers nationwide. We have worked diligently to take certain functions away from Program Managers so they can spend more time in the homes of the individuals we serve, which has been met with overwhelming gratitude and success. Our leadership team has done an incredible job listening to our teams and direct support professionals, while making operational changes to improve the lives of everyone we serve. I hope your next position brings you the happiness you are looking for.

Thank you for your post. I do find it necessary to respond to posts that are categorically untrue like this one. We are very fortunate to have a great management team who cares deeply for our employees and the people we serve and to say otherwise is simply not true. It is not only my responsibility, but my duty to stand up for our great employees and our great company.

Pros

Work with the clients and fellow staff. Not really much more than that but I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Cons

Where to begin? The last year has been nothing but turnover after turnover. I've never, in my 15 years in this field, seen an organization operate this way. It's time for new leadership at the time and in the HR dept. Enough is enough!
