Pros

Good compensation. Reasonable work environment. Lots of good technology. Best in class for a few products, while average in many.

Cons

No central organization to some important functions. Getting anything announced through marketing communications was very difficult. Standard templates for documentation very poor quality and difficult to use.

Pros

Virage was an aggressive startup that developed high-performance memories, and succeeded ina very competitive environment.

Cons

Management was "tribal": if you weren't part of the tribe, then you were not trusted as much or listened to as carefully.
