Pros

The Long Beach site for Virgin Galactic is right near the Long Beach Airport, and is in a very nice facility. Building the factory from the ground up; it's exciting to be watching things come together in front of you and knowing you are helping out to make history. The staff are a very happy and friendly group of people and the work pace is very manageable. The Work/Life balance is great here; they definitely listen to, and take care of their employees. We have a few Company perks which are an awesome plus and Parking is a breeze.

Cons

Only two Electric car charging stations (the only 'con' I could think of)

Pros

The company has some very ambitious goals and attracts some of the best people in the industry. I'm fortunate in my position to deal with employees from every department and a great deal of people from the other Virgin Group companies and everyone is excited to see this project through. I have never been surrounded by such an amazing team of individuals. Work / life balance is good and the company does provide events throughout the year to keep up morale and the team motivated.

Cons

While the team is filled with top notch people sometimes communication can be difficult as everyone is driven to move the project forward. It can be challenging to get some team leaders to take a pause to provide a substantial update. Work / life balance can be a bit compromised as well when getting close to major milestones but that would likely happen anywhere. Support team can feel mildly unappreciated at times but most of the team does understand the value these employees add.

Pros

We’re Building Rockets That Will Launch The Small Satellite Revolution. What's not cool about that? Awesome companies with some of the most innovative minds. The work is very engaging and fills you with a sense of purpose. Few companies have so many interesting projects to work on. Even new employees have the opportunity to impact the company. Very family oriented.

Cons

New start-up with a great brand. Doors opened in March of 2015. If you're not used to rolling up your sleeves and thinking outside of the box, than this job is not for you. You need to be part of the change you want to see. Not so much a con, but if you're used to big aerospace where you sit and watch the clock & wait for everything to be handed to you, then you'll find this to a challenging environment.
