Pros

- Incredible teammates in the product development org. People really care about delivering life changing care to our patients and there is a strong collaborative spirit to work together to solve problems - The treatment we are building is very effective and we can see the impact of the work we do on our patients - New ERGs for racial/ethnic groups are great and offer a supportive and safe space - Good work / life balance (rarely need to work more than 40 hours-except on-call)

Cons

- Small and infrequent raises, very cheap with perks/travel/etc. - Upper management seems to prefer micromanaging rather than entrusting team with clear expectations and giving them the autonomy to execute

Pros

The people at Virta Health are some of the best you’ll ever work with. Everyone is genuinely nice and most importantly not pretentious. Working for a company with a cause is also really important to me so that’s a huge plus.

Cons

It still has a start up feel to it. This comes with the inevitable long hours and sometimes frustration of starting everything from scratch.

Pros

There are quite a few. First and foremost, Virta has an incredible company mission and being able to be a part of that journey is incredibly rewarding. Helping to reverse diabetes is something that every person at Virta is committed to achieving. We are regularly reminded of our goals by hearing from our patients firsthand- constant reminders as to why we do what we do. I work remotely from home and still feel very connected to the company and my colleagues. On the sales team (which I personally work on) we have exceptional leadership and there is ample avenues to make an impact on our team and the company as a whole. The pay is certainly on par with other companies I have worked at in the space and on the sales team there is opportunity to do quite well for motivated individuals. In my 10 year career, I have never worked for an organization that is as exciting, welcoming, and rewarding as Virta.

Cons

What we're doing is incredibly difficult. We are working to not only reverse diabetes, but to convince the world that it can be reversed. While scientifically proven to be the case, many people are still unaware and much of our efforts are spent to evangelize this new option for people living with type 2.
