Pros

Working at Virta comes with many pros. A few that I want to highlight are: 1. Best company culture. I've worked in different professional settings (corporate, education, non-profit) and Virta's employees make the culture amazing. We're all on the same page, people are smart and no egos. 2. Impact: I've never had so much positive impact. We have tools and resource that allow us to work with many patients instead of only a few at a time.

Cons

At no fault to anyone, the COVID situation has taken a hit on the social aspect of working in an office. Can't wait for that to come back, remote work has taken a toll on many (not just at Virta). Still, grateful to have a job during this challenging time.

Pros

- People really care about patients at Virta. I am consistently amazed by the lengths our care team, engineers, and designers go to improve our patients' health. - People work hard and are dedicated, but still make time to take vacation, be present with family, and have healthy boundaries - The Virta treatment is incredibly impactful – getting to hear from patients personally each week is inspiring and keeps me focused - Company is growing fast! - Leadership values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and devotes resources to improving it

Cons

- Developer experience is pretty poor, but management is hiring to help improve it - No 401K matching

Pros

As healthcare provider, you won't find a better culture than that of Virta. All my colleagues are smart, respectful, and genuinely care about achieving the company's mission and helping patients improve their health. On the Health Coach team, they are continuing to work on career development paths so that there are plenty of growth opportunities for coaches. This is very much a work in progress, but I do believe there is plenty of room for career growth as a Health Coach. The work is meaningful and you cannot deny that. As coaches, we get to form meaningful relationships with patients, many of whom may come from underserved populations, and help them on their journey towards better health.

Cons

Compensation (most specifically: annual salaries) still needs improvement; coaches, a majority of whom are credentialed (whether that is RN, RD, etc...), for how integral they are to the Virta Treatment experience, are very much underpaid and have taken fairly significant pay cuts to join Virta. While there are bonuses available each quarter, only recently have they moved towards a meaningful amount.
