There are quite a few. First and foremost, Virta has an incredible company mission and being able to be a part of that journey is incredibly rewarding. Helping to reverse diabetes is something that every person at Virta is committed to achieving. We are regularly reminded of our goals by hearing from our patients firsthand- constant reminders as to why we do what we do. I work remotely from home and still feel very connected to the company and my colleagues. On the sales team (which I personally work on) we have exceptional leadership and there is ample avenues to make an impact on our team and the company as a whole. The pay is certainly on par with other companies I have worked at in the space and on the sales team there is opportunity to do quite well for motivated individuals. In my 10 year career, I have never worked for an organization that is as exciting, welcoming, and rewarding as Virta.

+ Amazing treatment that actually works: Getting to see the data and stories of our patients' success is inspiring and keeps me motivated and excited to come in every Monday. The company really is patient first and it shows in our execution. + Fantastic team: As an engineer, I get to work alongside incredibly talented individuals who care deeply about moving fast AND safely. There is a strong ethos to avoid accruing technical debt and with the migration to GCP, we are leveraging some of the best technologies in our stack. + Humility and Kindness: The people who work here really care. In the last 6 months, the company has gone through some difficult times with voluntary and involuntary attrition as well as harassment claims and compensation deficiencies. In recent months, leadership has worked HARD to listen to each individual across the company and to improve. Even though mistakes were made, there is real humility and growth. + Flexible WFH / PTO
