      They act like relationships are important but having no say on curriculum makes it impossible to connect with your students the way a teacher should.

      Cons

      Pay is very low. No flexibility in hours worked. You need to be available the same time every week with no exceptions.

      Pros

      Collaborative, inviting, friendly, supportive, student-centered! This is the BEST place I have ever worked! I feel like I have found my home at VLACS.

      Cons

      None! There is not one single negative to working at VLACS. If I HAD to choose one, I'd probably say pay because part-time your pay is based on the number of students you serve. However, their full-time salary is on par with most public schools.
