Too much chaos, no true investment in human resources

Pros

A very dynamic and fast-paced environment. A few brilliant people. Innovative products with lots of room for improvement. A really good salary is possible for some positions.

Cons

Chaotic management (or lack of management), lack of well defined processes. The company is growing too big with no investment in structures and foundations to support so many collaborators. The deadlines are always very short, putting too much pressure on the whole company, and therefore the quality of the deliveries suffers quite a lot. The working conditions are subpar because the office is now too small for so many people. Things like lack of (clean) bathrooms or even lack of a small space to make a private phone call in the office also take their toll.

Fast growing business, dynamic environment, rational management

Pros

Very quickly organically growing company. Ambitious management has practical and rational attitude. The products are very diverse as the company expands their solutions beyond successes they had in the past. Good growth opportunities with new management functions appear out of nowhere, while some traditional corporate functions don't even exist yet. English is the official language required for all employees. Many truly talented people as all ranks.

Cons

Growth pains, chaos in the way the business is structured. Don't come here if you want a quiet office job. The HQ office is too small for the company of that size. Since most customers are international many jobs require travel, and assembling the team in one room is rarely possible as many are on the road.

Pros

Innovative products, in house production

Cons

Small minded founders with no real work experience. They only had one good idea several years ago and with that founded the company. Non existing planning and inability to look ahead. This goes for almost all the management. The work force is dedicated mainly because there's not much more opportunities in Portugal at the moment for this line of work.
