Pros

I worked with VIP as a partner on a previous project. When I began looking for employment the company was one of my first considerations. The team at VIP is diverse, professional, and willing to reward good talent with appropriate compensation and flexible when accommodating work/life needs. VIP understands its mission as a company and clearly communicates to its employees where they fit in, how they can immediately start providing value, and giving incentives to grow and learn.

Cons

Being a service and sale oriented company, sometimes employees are leveraged to help with sales and marketing, which is not for everyone.

It's exciting to be part of VIP's new Accela practice. The opportunities to support state and local government agencies' Accela system integration needs are limitless. The practice's management team is driven, professional, and customer-oriented. My team members are some of the best in their areas of expertise. I'm pleased with the salary and bonus opportunities.

Cons

VIP's benefits are less competitive than that of other companies for whom I've worked. Internal IT support is not as sophisticated as I would expect for a company of this size/caliber.

Enjoyed working with colleagues who understood the federal marketplace and made a difference in how we could deliver IT to the government.

Cons

Often felt like the company did not have the cohesion across divisions that could have helped deliver transformative results. Was VIP more product focused vs. services focused?
