Pros

Product is used by many top companies. Flagship product provides unique skill set for employees, which can be leveraged even after leaving the company.

Cons

Unethical in their approach to the customers. Exaggerate the work needed to meet customer 's requirements. Unethical in their approach towards employees. Exploit employees and contracts to the hilt, while paying low salaries. Difficult to maintain work life balance. Management is not open to product improvement suggestions. Contractors are expected to work on release testing without expecting any compensation. Would not recommend the company to anybody. Better to be an independent contractor.

Pros

Depending on which deparmtent you gravitate towards, it's (for the most part) a family environment provided you were part of the early Vistex days. They have an annual employee recognition program, average benefits, and plenty of friendly faces around the globe. Vistex is a great name to have on a résumé.

Cons

Tough place to balance work and personal life as many positions require long hours & dedication to the company. Upper management frowns upon telling them your vacation plans two to three months out. Meetings start & end late so nothing is accomplished on time. Don't be surprised when work creeps into weekends and throughout holidays. Big language barrier exists between U.S. & overseas employees. Travel & out-of-pocket expenses are a burden for reimbursement since every penny is closely watched by the owner. There is high turnover not to mention 99% of the employed still wonder what their role is after being hired. Jobs end up leaving the employees instead of vice versa which opens a whole new can of worms. Training courses can be gruesome due to a not-so-well-coached instructor. Very little chance of being promoted due to an unorganized structure of managers.
