Steer clear unless you're an SAP developer
Pros
Unfortunately, there was nothing about working for Vistex that was positive for me. I loved the people I worked with and had been with hawkeye (acquired by Vistex) over 10 years, but after a year of life as a Vistexian, I knew it was definitely not the place for me.
Cons
Chicago calls all the shots, and all those shots are called by the owner/CEO. There are other senior executives, but they can't seem to make a decision unless Sanjay approves it first. Creates a seriously dysfunctional system. "Frugal" doesn't begin to describe how penny-pinching this company is. SAP funnels opportunities to Vistex which means Vistex doesn't (or didn't when I was there!) understand outbound marketing or why that might be important. They also had a very difficult time understanding sales cycles since the sales function as an SAP partner was handled by SAP. Pay is below market, raises are a pittance, and the micro-management is over the top (and hey, don't forget to donate to the CEO's pet philanthropy because otherwise HR will be hounding you daily).
