Pros

Flexible hours depending on the mall location. Occasionally, commission was raised for select products or holiday periods. The best part about it was by far the 75% discount on the 50% mark up products. Made sure employees were given opportunity to learn about the products sold.

Cons

Base commission was low. Upper management unwilling to higher employees when needed. Often hired individuals with no prior knowledge of any product sold by the company. Product information was provided but no continuing education on the vast array of supplements employees are expected to sell. Only felt the need to inform employees further when the product was extremely overpriced and was beneficial to the companies failing financial situation. Treated employees poorly from upper management and gave no concern to employees time.

A Company With No Direction

Pros

Friendly work environment with a desire to keep the business afloat. Parent company has deep pockets that should eliminate financial bumps in the road.

Cons

A complete lack of direction from the top. Company changes objectives on a daily basis and backtracks on important decisions. Benefits have been cut over and over with no communications on how to improve things. Transparency of the status of the company is missing at every step and the overall feeling is 'do more with less'. Company is run with a 'spreadsheet' point of view instead of looking at the business as a group of people trying to do what is best. Zero interest has been shown to improve morale. Conflicts of interest arise and everyone shrugs their shoulders.
